Just testing skin subsurface scattering with back lighting.
I reduced the 'Surface thickness' to 2.0mm (most of human skin is 2-3mm). For the darker skin tone, I changed the surface colour from 249:140:135 to 207:115:112. I got lazy and didn't convert the bump maps to normal maps. Next time!
It's kind of ironic that we are trying so hard to achieve SSS in 3D while I remember putting tape behind the ears of the models (real life studio photography) to avoid it! Different time...#Reality_plugin
